“Let’s make this the greatest 10-piece bucket of our lives!”
"Paramedic, what does the guide say chicken tastes like?"
I dig your tenacity. Life gives you a hard time and you just keep on truckin' anyway. I also dig how enthusiastic you get about the things you really enjoy, it's nice to see someone so honestly excited about something. :)
Aww thank you! I do try to keep a level head about what I can, and be optimistic. It’s not always successful, and it’s not always easy … But sometimes it feels like someone should do it.
ahahaha... totally something I would do with the legos.
Lol I didn’t capture it well in the picture but she’s even wearing handcuffs. That post got reblogged by a hardcore porn blog and that alone just made my night.

I love how she waves at the camera all happy.
Cream don’t give two fucks about her safety.
I’m an adult. Playing with adult toys.
I know everyone always says “take photoshop away from me” with these kinds of things but
Jon Risinger posted outtakes from the Surgeons In Space: Deep Space Doctors outtakes so I had to make some official cinematic versions of their parody poses.

Yes! Gorgeous they are! :-)
“Screen Gems will distribute the live action film The Last of Us based on the critically-acclaimed PlayStation 3 exclusive video game, developed by Naughty Dog. Neil Druckmann, the Creative Director for the game, will also write the script for the film. On behalf of Naughty Dog, the project will be produced by Co-Presidents’ Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra, as well as Creative Director Neil Druckmann and Game Director Bruce Straley, along with Sam Raimi via their Ghost House Pictures banner.”

It seems like they’ve got good people on this, and I’m sure it’ll be a decent film. But damn, I really wish they would stop trying to make movies out of games that get praised for being cinematic and having a good story. It’s ALREADY a visual medium, if we keep making movies every time a game with a good story comes out it’s just going to continue to be redundant, and won’t encourage new people to try games or take the medium seriously.
Why make a movie of this when the genre is already so heavily populated in film? It’s not going to have the impact in film that it did in games. Same with Uncharted. The appeal of the Uncharted games, for me, is that it’s like one of the pulp comics I grew up reading, like Doc Savage, or Indian Jones, all of that action and fun and the tropes, but lovingly made in a video game, with new characters, and new stories. I GET TO BE INDY essentially. I loved The Last of Us because it was the most successful a game has ever been at putting me in the tense setting of a post-pandemic world, while making me actually care about the characters. It’s a genre that’s been done to death, in all forms of media, but in games I’d never actually found myself invested. I’ve BEEN there in film.
I get that this is supposed to introduce the stories and characters to wider audiences… but it feels like it’ll have the same effect as when people just upload all the cutscenes for the games on YouTube. “Sweet, I don’t have to play the game now because I can just watch a neutered version of the story on the internet and live under the assumption that the interactive majority of the game was pointless and I’m not missing anything by overlooking it.”
I’ll probably see it anyway… but… come on, there are other games I’d love to see expanded upon in film or other media, the ones with already fleshed out characters and stories, and contained narratives, are not those games.
